i'ma go out on a limb and say the Hondo Garage vent mount won't work with these?

 

Just did the Subaru Tweeter Upgrade. Easy peazy and excellent bang for the buck. Door speakers are next.

Toyota has been putting shit speakers in their vehicles for as long as I've been driving them. Glad there are options.

I did all my speakers over a year ago, the subaru tweeters and the Kicker CSC693 6"X9" in front doors and the Kicker CSC67 6.75" in rear door panels (i have a 2016 access cab) it made a huge difference in sound ... you will enjoy that upgrade!

I think it was mentioned that in the video once the thin rings are used up they will all be the new style so maybe the grey version is all new style which requires the chrome to be removed. My set was all the old version and AJT sent me new replacements for the drivers side when I sent them an email. Awesome customer service for sure.

You are probably right, i never thought about that ... i received mine a week ago and it came with 2 of the older (thinner) ones for passenger side that i did not have to remove chrome trim ring. I really like the looks of these and the fit was perfect! Yes they are pricey for what they are but hey, we blow money all the time on mods for our Taco's

 

I had/have the same concerns about the amount of (-) offset, though I'm going to SCS Stealth 6s with 265/70r17 tires. Trucks off getting a lift right now, wheels tomorrow.

Can someone point me to the link with the mod where they attached basically a wrist pad to the interior of the door to give the left knee a cushion. I decided to do this, now I can't find the thread.

Ah. I went with OME 885 coils up front and an Icon 3-leaf AAL in back, had Billie 5100s all around. We'll see what happens after tomorrow.

Looks OEM. Great little mod.

 

Ah, I remember seeing this but I couldn't track it down. I'm pretty sure they just used some adhesive like the 3M tape you might put your badges on with.

 

That's what I used a few little pieces of 3m tape, and it's golden. Solid difference too. It's the little things.
