I also said it would be for old or spare parts for the bike. It's not just a "tool" box.

but no I don't have a "truck tool box" I just have some tools I keep in there daily. I load up a piss ton for wheeling trips though.

 

not in wrenches, but yes in sockets.

I don't take all my tools unless I'm going wheeling.

 

I would just need to keep a second bike, lol. Mine breaks all the time

 

The only stuff I pack extra for wheeling trips is the big stuff like a bottle jack, sledge hammer, miscellaneous electrical stuff and fluids. Most everything I use is in a little tool roll I always keep in the truck.

 

it won't cover the truck, strictly for MTB use. I can't think of anything on the truck that takes a 15mm wrench or a set of allen keys..

 

I read the last part of your message after I posted that. If I don’t have the tools to fix most things on the truck at all times I feel naked

 

torque wrench, breaker bar? in a little tool roll?

 

No torque wrench as its not necessary for a repair on the road or trail. But yes, I have an extendable ratchet that serves as a breaker bar as well when I don't pack my full size one.

 

I take them both when I wheel, but don't keep either for daily use.

y'all got some shitty ass trucks if you need all your tools in there to run to walmart. just sayin'

 

I keep my torque wrench at home. I only use it for really important/sensitive stuff. Most the time, a couple grunts from behind a ratchet are good enough until you get home.

I don't keep it on all the time.

I wrench on my truck constantly, so its not the truck that's shitty, its the guy working on it when he forgets to tighten something and drives off.

 

because it's 4ft tall, and hits stuff.

legit though, how many times have y'all needed more than just a regular old ratchet/socket set to work on your truck when you weren't wheeling? I've got a pair of pliers and vice grips too that stay in the truck just because they were extras lol.

 

see above question, how many times have you used the really big flathead, the allen wrenches, the soft mallet, gorilla tape, wd40, zipties, electrical tape, multimeter, and impact when you were just driving to work and back?

 

More than once with all the time I spend on the road. Parts fail and having ways to bandage it to the next parts store is peace of mind for me. When I had my front end destroyed by a deer in the middle of the night, I needed more than just a socket set to make my truck driveable again because of all the damage. I also like to be prepared to help the unprepared when I come across them.
