I’ll have rum with me but don’t plan on any severe shenanigans. Also there are no facilities at all. Just the creek.

were rolling in Saturday morning. I could dummy lock it if I have to. But would prefer not to. Or if you have a ham radio I could ride out and unlock it

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Well good/bad news and bad news.

the good/bad is that the trail has actually been smoothed out and a 2wd truck could make it.

the bad is that I saw a park ranger while I was out there. He seemed cool but warned they have had to start cracking down on people camping out there because it has been getting so trashed.

That's one thing I can't stand, is folks who trash a place. A few bad apples can ruin it for all! So are you able to get the primitive spot for us?

I’m gonna make some calls tomorrow and see what I can do. The ranger I talked to pretty much said he didn’t care as long as we were responsible. But couldn’t guarantee we wouldn’t get messed with by other rangers.

There are a few nice spots here: 34.298457, -87.269283 in Bankhead, but they will probably fill up early. Gonna be a big weekend for camping.

Not feeling great about camping at the original spot. With it being the first good camping weekend I’m sure they will be patrolling. I’m up for wherever y’all wanna go though.

Yeah, but being so close and this weekend being first big camping weekend, it may be late to reserve spots. There are plenty of camping on Guntersville Lake, but you're going to be up everyone's butt. I liked the primitive camping area because it was secluded. Sucks that this may not come to fruition as that spot is awesome for camping!
