    Hello

I am in the market for a Tacoma. I am in love with the TRD Pro, but it just seems like its way to much money for what it is.

What would I need to do to get the same look as the TRD Pro if I were to buy a TRD OffRoad or TRD Sport.

What size spacer can i put in the front to resemble the TRD Pro height?
Is it a good or bad idea to buy a TRD Sport and raise the front, change the wheels, buy the decal for the hood scoop, and change the fender flares as well as the grill?

Anything I should look out for, or possibly be pointed in the right direction from another person that has done this?

    Thank you

By the time you turn your OR or Sport into a TRD Pro, you would've paid more than just getting a Pro in the first place.

He only wants it to look like a Pro. He could buy spacer lift and a grill and save thousands of dollars.

If you love the Pro, then get you the Pro. You won’t truly be happy with something else.

If you can’t afford the Pro, off road is the closest.

Sport has the hood but the off road is the easiest to make into your own “Pro”, as it has the flares, rear locker, CC, MTS systems.

You could do a set of 5100s in the front and get that extra inch that you want for very little money.

whatever you do, don’t ever put TRD Pro badges on an off road or sport.

best of luck with your decision.

Yes. I am completely going for the look, nothing else.

Do you know what kind of spacer it would take to resemble the same height as the TRD Pro?

I'm guessing the 1/2 spacers. That should give you a 1" lift up front, like a factory TRD Pro

OP I have an SR5 and I’ve modded enough to make it my own! However, I do wish I had a 4x4 and the keyless entry. Wish I could’ve coughed up a bit more dough for it. But overall, doesn’t kill me to not have it. I can live with it. Buy once. Cry once.

CALL ME THAT AGAIN AND ILL REPORT YOU.

Edit: Wife read it to me. Sorry. I can’t read either.

I love my sport. It’s a street truck for the most part. Pro’s are pretty sweet I’m just cheap and at the time I bought I had an suv and a Harley (paid off) so couldn’t justify spending money on an upper level truck and they didn’t have pros 3rd gen when I bought.

If you want it, do it. You will have no regrets

Go with the OR with the premium and tech packages. Oh, and a mt6. It’s the best way to go! ;)
