Same here. Even my Dads old S&W 659 doesn’t feel good to me any more (although it’s not a 1911, it’s 1911-like, and I used to love that pistol). Still think the design and look of 1911’s are timeless, and seriously approach works of art in my eyes. Over the years, I’ve gotten so used to the better ergo’s of modern tupperware pistols, that any 1911 frame beyond a commander just isn’t fun for me anymore. I also still think that short, fat, and slow, will get the job done (yes, that is .45AARP...err...ACP).

A bit of a Bourbon explorer though. Have up to a dozen different Bourbons at any one time but ALWAYS have Bulleit on hand.

I’ll have to keep that in mind for the next human centipede round.

This place is pretty good. Vet owned and just a few hours away. They have a really popular Huckleberry liquor that my wife likes.

    I feel bad for you.
    A 1911 with these grips

Is one of the most ergonomic, well balanced, naturally pointing firearms for me.

My choice is actually Knob Creek, but my username alludes to more than just bourbon if you actually know me

I do like JB Devil's Cut

I believe it’s rated for 300 subs, almost any modern 9mm can is.

Yep, anything subsonic. I like it cause I can just change out the Piston and use it on my .45s or 9mms

Built this setup for reducing the hog problem on my deer lease
