Actually I'm kind of jealous now that I think about it, I wouldn't have to go into work if we didn't have power for days on end. I would make a big camping trip out of that

Ill tell ya one think about working in a grocery store after a power outtage....it sucks. My store didnt loose power, but the one in the next town over did. Their produce manager sent us all of his produce. Like entire floor displays, and what was in his back room. We had to stock it all, and go through it to find the bad stuff. If we were to loose power, we'd all get overtime so we could pull everything and re pack it to send to another store. Ton of work.

Seriously...hey more overtime for you though. Hopefully people don't start trying to raid stores after a couple days.

I have no experience with them and only know one person that runs them. I wanted MTRs but no one runs those around here because they cost almost 2.2k for a set of 35s like these. I hope I like these, the price was right and now I have two solid spares too.

I bet Harbor Freight, Home Depot and the like are loving all the generator sales they're making right now up there

Sounds about right. Problem is, most of the shipping boxes get tossed out. So when it was time to repack stuff, we had nothing to put it in.

If you're looking for a great deal on one, buy their lightly used generator after the shut down is over.

I've heard nothing but good things really on here, and IMO they are one of the best looking tires on the market. Plus they're Coopers and my first experience with Coopers (my current STMaxx) has been great overall. Just wish they made the Pros in 255/85r16 size as well.

My buddy ran his on the diesel, liked them but they didn’t last long, maybe due to the weight of the truck? Don’t know

Look on fb fb marketplace in a few weeks. Youll see a ton of listings for mildly used generators. That is if left coasters think like most Southerners when they hear of a hurricane on the way. Buy, not use, then sell. Rinse and repeat for the next storm.

I would've thought if people lived where hurricanes happened every year you'd be inclined to keep a generator on hand just in case, lol. But yeah I imagine a lot of them will be up for sale after this blows over.

I don't care if I only get 25k out of them. Not running them year round and a MT is only realistically good in the mud and dirt while it still has great tread depth, I'd probably throw them away at 30k anyway

Not running them year round with help big time obviously, daily tires and mountain tires is probably the 2nd best mod

People dont see it as an investment or insurance really. They see it as a useless brick that takes up space whenever its not being used. My parents have had one for 16 years now, never needed it. But they see it as insurance for when the super storm hits us (moms from Florida, dad from NE so both have history with snow and hurricanes). They actually just traded their old transformer based unit for a quiet inverter. Much better, and takes up less space.

    So I could eat venison.

Is there a different way to get venison? Asking for a friend.

You don't live around these parts do you?

Nah its the opposite. Florida and the rest of the southeast is getting filled with dumb northerners who cant whether out a hurricane, then loose their minds when they realize Florida=lots of hurricanes.

Fixed the emergency brake on the flatbed. I didn't know much about drum brakes before today and had to go through some videos to adjust things.
I needed the cables from @Tour991 since no amount of PB blaster would fix the seized cables. Just glad it wasn't more serious than that. The truck had a full rear brake job prior to it's mud pit accident which was surprising.
