    measure the shaft on the ball joints.. now that its on my mind i want to see how hard it would be to adapt thew beefier 05-06 tundra balljoints to our tacomas

    i need a link to prove this... because tundra spindle with its ball joints are much beefier bolts..

    Similar to how a disc brake gets a lip on the edge from the pads wearing it down so do drums. So the drum has a lip. You'll have to install the drum then do the adjuster.

    Set screw adjusts preload of the cable only.

    the set screw is suppose to be a preload. if its too tight when the ebrake isnt on your going to have pull on the parking brake.
    adjust the screw all the way in, put the drum on, then adjust a few clicks at a time till you get slight drag.

    im kind of terrible explaining things over text sorry =/

    I'm pretty sure it's the exact same spindle. However the tie rod is different.

    Someone on here tried that and didn't merit anything. Chris wtf is your screen name.

    05-06 is different. the threads for the ball joint are 14mm instead of 12mm. other than that theyre the same spindle.

    05 is 2nd gen. Should be a two bolt spindle at that point.
