    Looks great!

Got my lights done and sealed. This has been the most challenging retrofit thus far

Desoldered white DRL leds and switched to amber DRL. So... bright..

Damn those look mean. I can only imagine the light output of those on or off road. I think the demon eyes should be the Drl's coming at you. Those DRLs are bright AF. Can you have both on? Just wondering how it looks. :D making it hard to decide which set I like best. The older ones or these. :hattip:

Actually I think they are Sonic welded to fuse the 2 pieces into basically one piece. That's why these had to be cut open from the back.

I did mine way early because I’ve heard of people who waited until 20,000-30,000 miles and found that the fluid was very dirty or ugly from water OR didn’t have as much fluid as it should have from the factory. My truck has almost 12,000 miles on it. But like I said, I have peace of mind now and won’t worry about it again for another 20,000-30,000 miles.

    It's complicated.
Finally installed the LED lights strips in my shell. I used the existing bolts from the Yakima roof rack, that protrude down through the shell, and made stand-offs from 1.5" x 1/8" x 1/2" sections of aluminum flat stock. The LED strips are housed in an aluminum track, with frosted plastic cover to diffuse the light. I'm controlling the lights several ways; using the in-cab bed light switch, the dimmer w/ remote control (pictured) and by way of an inline on/off toggle switch.

Re-purposing the bed light was a bitch! Getting to the rear of the light required lowering the rear section of the headliner, which required removing the plastic pillar moldings; driver & passenger side, which also required removing the driver's side rear seat-back! Then I pulled the wire down through the wiring harnesses and looms, and then routed the wiring down through rear wall pillar, out through the wall grommet, and up into the bed--using one of the already drilled holes. I ran the wiring through some protective wire sleeve, to keep it from chaffing. It was a lot of work, but having the use of the in-cab switch, and the remote control made it worth the hassle.

The led strips turn on just like the puddles; lock/unlock of the truck, and open/closing of the doors. Also, the cab switch can be left to on, and the dimmer's remote control can turn the lights on & off, and dim.

My buddy pretty much gave me some brand new mud guards that he wasn’t gonna use. Threw em on today... Hopefully the rocks will stop hitting my steps.

He also gave me his stock black fender flares. Might throw those on this week too!
