I plan to sell the Chromies as classic! A couple years, and no one will be able to find 15 year old factory wheels!

 

Yeah I kind of figured my limitations to and trying to follow four-wheel drive guys in a two-wheel drive taco is a lot of work a lot of forward and reverse it becomes a workout more than it becomes fun

 

Now that's an interesting idea. NOT.

 

That's like me trying to find a spare for my wheels they discontinued them 5 years ago when I get some money I'm going to get some bronze methods

 

You know you (supposedly) can have a lot of fun on the trails that are not ridiculous at HF. Only time I went was so mudded up and washed out, I parked. And still got snagged on the way out. But even Chad goes to the top of the mountain. Just don't follow the rowdy bunch!

 

Yeah I know you're right but almost every trail you go down that's not a Park road at hidden falls a two-wheel drive struggles on the problem is going up I can go down most of stuff at hidden falls I just can't go up it and the problem is is nobody wants to winCh up anything unless you're stuck

EDIT - and my plans don't include much that is rated higher than the Park Roads.

 

The day I was at hidden falls and got lost for 4 hours if I had a winch I would have been fine cuz I would have been able to winch my self up the wildcat trail instead I had the back all the way down it and when I turn down an ATV trail I fell into some ruts and high centered myself

 

I've been wanting to go out to junction and try some new trails that I mapped out but Roberts been way too busy with his job that is probably stupid for me to go out there by myself even though I like to do it in the prius

 

Never go it alone! Put it out as a "recon" day, and see if you can get some to come with you.

 

I think Kevin was interested in going out there this weekend he asked me on Sunday if I had to directions to that trail that we took

 

I'm waiting for there to be a good rain out there that way I can go out and play in the mud to

 

You know all the people that post "are there trails around SA"? Maybe some of them would like to be part of a "recon day". The more resources you get, the better off everyone is. And making your own new trail could be fun. Since that is 2 1/2 hours from me, that is too far to go experiment. But you get a route out of it, and I am likely on it! You and Robert did good last time.

 

that day I went out scouting on those trails way out there and it started pouring on me that was fun I was all over those trails it was fun trying to gain traction

You know what I'm trying to do Kurt I'm trying to map out a trail that goes from junction all the way to Austin on a dirt road the struggle I'm having now is that most of the dirt county roads that cut from Fredericksburg across Johnson City and east of that are all gated

 

It's like all the county roads east of 281 county use only

yep, once you get close to 35 corridor, all that property is closed up tighter than a drum. There are few public lands, and even those are restricted, and don't connect. So, it's mostly an impossible task the think you can get there from there. See you Wednesday. Oh, shit, it is Wednesday....
