Had to clean the main carb jet in the generator tonight, but it fired right up!

Went to Holiday to get some hamburger buns, noticed there were only three bags if ice (I don't need any), and then won $60 on a scratcher!

Now it's time for a beer.

Co-worker just had his wife call him freaking out. "Please go get ice, candles, and some cash before you come home! We are going to need it all!" He laughed and told her they weren't in the affected area and her ass doesn't even work in the power outage area.

She hung up on him real quick.

But seriously, there isn't any ice anywhere. Even Woodland and we aren't affected.

Can't figure this whole thing out. Obviously, PG&E is gun shy from recent past, but this is going too far. I have gotten no less than 6 phone calls today warning of power outages that could last for 2-5 days. Same amount yesterday. Some from PG&E, and some from Alameda County officials. Here's the thing, all the power lines in my hood are buried underground. WTF?

I got the genset fueled up and ready to go anyway.

 

What I think is going to happen. Lost of people will complain. Then PG&E will say they are going to leave the power on all the time now but nobody can sue them if a fire happens..

 

They wouldn't have had to go through all this bullshit if they had properly maintained their equipment, instead of gun-decking the work.

 

Got lucky, hit a truck stop for the night that had a Mexican joint, going to sleep good tonight.

Well, traffic should suck in the morning. Got gas in lil generator, gas for big one. Ice in both freezers. And a jug to make sun tea...bring the power outage..people were lined up for gas in town..lol. and you couldn't pay me to walk into Safeway, parking lot was full.

People are getting pissed at the gas station tonight. Had to take my truck since I was empty and now my MIL’s car. So fun...

 

I’m on empty. About to do my car plus 15 gallons. Should be a splendid time

 

Perhaps PG&E should hire a proper meteorologist. No power loss at my house. Very cool, with a light breeze. What a joke. Now I have to drain gas out of my genset. PG&E, "We were taking every precaution."
