Podwercoated aluminum grille here in Hawaii. No issues with rust, it rains every day. Drilled a hole for front camera, no rust...

 

Any chemistry majors here? Or someone that can ‘splain rust corrosion? My aluminum grille is fine, no rust and clean. The presented grilles are surely corroded.

 

Aluminium doesnt rust. The grille was powdercoated from factory but with the salt and rock chips, it is bound to happen

 

I’m a NJ transplant, no road salt here in Hawaii.. No lava chips so far...Thanks for the insight.

It’s garaged.. when it rusts from the sea/rain, I’ll put the OEM cheese grater back on.

Stock grill is too much chrome,.....black is better

 

This is the first pro grill I see color matched that I actually like...
