My PS ended up with that gap and my new hub only lasted about 12K miles. I’m pretty sure that gap had something to do with it. If I were you, I’d disassemble and figure out why it’s not mating properly. I didn’t notice my PS had that gap until today when I was looking it over before I replace that hub again. Idk what causes it. Yet.

Let me know if you figure it out when installing your new hubs. I noticed it during installation so I unbolted and reassembled and couldn't figure it out. The seals mated up fine when everything was loose so i know there's no obstructions between the seals. I literally watched the gap form as I was tightening the bolts. Makes me think the CV stub isn't pulled all the way through the hub but I put the axle nut on and hit it with the impact to pull it through and thats the point where it stopped (on both sides) so I didnt want to keep going and put too much torque on the bearing (of course I loosened and then torqued to spec)

Nope. Seals looked good so I left them. I noticed the gap, loosened the four hub bolts to try and figure it out and as I did that i literally watched the gap close up and seals mated perfectly. Tightened the hub bolts back up and the gap formed again. So I know there's no obstruction between the seals. I know they would mate up fine if that back face of the hub was a little thicker (or the bolts had some washers/ spacers on the back side to bring the whole assembly out a slight amount, which i'm not gonna do cuz I know that shouldnt be neccessary) or if the CV stub would pull through a little bit more. Same exact gap on both sides of the truck. Just super weird nd confusing

No sir. Does yours come with any new seals.

For the record, I did not buy my hubs from you (another member had bought some from another reputable vendor then sold his truck and the deal was too good to pass up) but this time I am. Do you sell just 1? Does it come with nut, cotter pin, and any seals? Thanks!

I was going to say it’s possible the CV seal isn’t exactly where it should be, depending on how loose your old bearings got the CV could have had play, causing the old seal to run into the spindle seal, bending/deforming it back. Just spit balling. I strongly recommend replacing that CV seal, aside from this.

Ok, that sounds very possible. I'll just bite the bullet and replace those seals. Thanks for the advice!

Spindle one is 90316-A0001 and outboard CV one is 90304-A0001. If you look at the bottom of the page theres an Amazon link to the generic version of the spindle seal

Got my hubs the other day. Only took a day or two to receive. I can’t believe how loud my truck actually was. Thanks for the help. Got my truck squared away.
