Yea AT vs MT is subjective. My 99 Tacoma was 5MT and it was cool when I first got it but after a while I grew tired of shifting especially in traffic. So I'm happy just driving my 11 Tacoma AT. That said when I'm towing or rugged offroad conditions I'm using the shifter to keep in the gear I want. It does good it those situations. So if I'm going to have an AT it must have a good manual shift mode. The Honda 1-2-D shifter drove me nuts. That said in my BMW I wish it was a stick for sure even though it has a decent DS mode and paddle shifters. They are just very hard to find that way. I agree with the guy who says in a sports car MT wins for drivers who can appreciate it and know how to use it. Most of my cars growing up were sticks and if you ride motorcycles you know how to shift properly. My all time favorite fun car was the 89 Mustang 5.0 5MT. I learned how to drift in that car before drifting became popular. No nannies to keep you from trouble and I loved it. You got me going here. Must stop :burnrubber:

No Nannies in the Mustang definitely adds to the fun factor.

Hauled my boat home with the gladiator over the weekend. Tows a bit better than my Tacoma, but it’s got a longer wheelbase and more HP. The manual transmission is funky towing about 6k, reverse is useless without low range. Forward gears are all fine.8CC0A4C7-AD5C-4854-BE48-0AA9480E3171.jpg

Why cant they figure this out, I have no idea why the Toyota felt like the Tacoma needed such an aggressive ratio for reverse, now it sounds like the Jeep is no better.

It was same with all my other trucks, can go like 100km/hr in reverse. Never really understood that. Must be to do something with storage of gears, so tranny itself takes less space?:notsure:

Yeah I remember my 2013 Taco being the same... Reversing uphill with a trailer was impossible

This guy’s jeep was absolutely phenomenal. there was not one thing he didn’t customize. I can’t even imagine how much this would have costed. It only had 600 miles on the clock too! What do you guys think?

I think it looks alright except for the grill and front bumper. Not at big of fan that setup. BTW - do you know how much he dropped to get this done?

EDIT: Not sure about the hood either :notsure:

I didn’t have the balls to ask him how much he put into it. He says in four months it’s going to have a hellcat engine Also

I don't care for the front bumper/grill area. And, unfortunately, it will have the legendary Jeep quality.....

I wasn’t a fan before and definitely not a fan after seeing this. Sorry, just not my flavor. It’s like “riced out” i remembered that term from the old Honda days
