I owned one, then modded it out to get more speed out of it, and the gap between 3rd and 4th is like an overdrive. I got 110mpg stock, but 65mpg with ECU/Pipe/Intake etc... it's fun parking lot/track bike but it can't maintain freeway speed on overpasses and technically you can be ticketed for being on the freeway. 50mph uphill on Pima north of 101 is asking for death.. sold it.

My motoguzzi V7 gets 59mpg and does 115mph.. so it wasn't worth the gas savings versus the risk.
Get a newer 250-400cc bike with fuel injection. You need to be in front of cars not behind them and all the 45mph speed limits really does put you at risk. look at a KTM 390 duke for some real fun. also check insurance as the grom was more than my Motoguzzi for liability and theft.

Found some really good camping up in Kaibab NF just outside GC park boundaries. Even found a side entrance into GCNP. Long drive but worth going back if staying at least 2 nights. Decided to bust out the bed tent for the 2nd time. Not sure I'm sold on it. Debating selling it

Haven't used it cause I've just been sleeping in the open air in the bed of the truck. Debating just getting a tarp instead. It doubles as an awning.

 

My latest for solo camping, weather permitting has been to sling a hammock between the truck and a tree (or other available truck) anything more than a night or two though and your back and knees start to notice.

what do you guys sleep on inside the bed tent?

foam, air mattress, hard plastic bed?

My question is why do you guys prefer the tents inside your bed? I leave my cooler and all that shit in my bed while camping so it'd all be on the ground if I used a bed tent. Just wondering bc I've never used one, I do need to buy some foam pads bc my girl complained about the hard ground on our last trip lol

 

Damn I would be in, but planning to hit big bear mountain that weekend.
