I'm in northern California. A little NW of Sacramento. I do go up to Forest Hill pretty often so I will see some snow, but not that often.

unless there is sodium in the snowmelt or you stuff your frame with McDonalds fries (extra salty) should be ok! but can never be too careful
this Toyota paint only seems to be defective against chemicals upon limited ongoing research

That's dirt, but screwdrivers should not be able to go through metal.

What is the TW recommended frame paint then? I do have access to people who can lend me a paint gun to do this myself. I want to start with a good base then protect the frame with Fluid Film moving forward.

not sure there is a consensus yet! ... many opinions on TW
I am trying the Eastwood extreme first and see how it handles winter chemicals (and chipping)

Should put some along the sides of the truck too, so when someone tailgates you and you blind them, and they speed up alongside you to give you the finger, you can blind them a second time haha

Not sure I mentioned this before, but you should extend your exhaust past your shocks. That passenger side shock will rust/corrode way faster with the exhaust dumped like that.

Oh, and 1st gen in the banner again.

You know that's a clickable link right lol

I'm glad they finally changed it, I got really tired of always going to that blue 2nd gens build thread by accident

Hmm I may try going with POR15 then and applying a top coat of some other frame paint then as recommended by them.

Then maybe next year coat it with fluid film before I am going somewhere with road salt, if it even comes to that.
