2019 OR MT was on a lift and I asked the tech to check grease on the shafts. All fittings were dry. This was an independent shop/buddy.

2 weeks ago the dealership service department told me they were ok. Obviously not checked.

Truck has 5K. You may want to check yours.

This is why I’m probably not gonna use ToyotaCare.

2 on the front and 1 more near the front for the rear shaft. Real hard to find that one.

Thanks, guess I'll look again. My 4runner had them everywhere. I noticed my U-joints are sealed which I am happy about

My bro greased mine the other day. Probably the first time it's been greased (thanks toyotacare). At 45000 miles, a bunch of dark and dirty shit purged out the other end.

That “dark and dirty” shit is the factory Spicer u-joint lube, and is superior in all aspects to any colorful aftermarket shit you might pump in there. That black snot is more slippery than a mink’s dink.

Isn't greasing the prop shaft part of the work that you are responsible for, per the manual?

It’s part of the regular service description.
