Look at it this way. At some point it will drive like a fun, normal truck. Just like most other cars out there that don't need a tune to feel normal, you'll find a tune that makes you happy and you will just drive it into the sunset never thinking about the tune again.

The fact is that most peeps here are not the typical tuners. Toyota dropped the ball. OVT is correcting that. The traffic in this thread will drop immensely after the full version of 2.0 drops.

Do you have catted or catless? I just drove around for the first time after sealing everything up. I’ve got catted dump tubes and URD catless y pipe.

I’m getting a pretty loud almost ticking like sound when I hit 2500 rpms or more under load, accelerating.

it doesn’t make this sound when parked and reving.

you have this issue? (If it is an issue at all)

wondering if I’m just hearing the valving and stuff more since the dump tubes are probably thinner or if I have a leak or something else...

    @OVTune got any insight?

I think it may be the issue we have been having with yahoo email accounts
I'm going to reply to the new ticket you sent

Since "Toyota" is our primary goal, now and into the future..we will be around. Won't really be a back burner since our P5Flash software will be for all toyotas in time. Since toyota is nice enough to use the same logic, code compiler, etc throughout all the years, we're developing patches that can be ported to any toyota. So...we have a long long, many year road ahead.

@OVTune I sent in a registration request to ZD (#10444) 6 days ago and haven't received a response. I'm trying to be patient, but I'd like to make sure my request doesn't get lost in the mix.

Received it, will send it as soon as we have it.

Also a few things for everyone to be aware of
We will be completely closed from 12th to 16th.
any new versions of beta to be tested after 19800 will not be until after we re-open, if it's even beta at that point.
Tickets right now are sorted and responded to by priority until we clear them out.
How many tickets do we have to sort: about 300, not including the daily, when can I order again ones.

@OVTune Got that one and replied back. Thanks for checking into this. Is it best to submit tickets thru non-yahoo accounts? I have no problem doing this if helps get the responses to me.

I have the catless tubes and have not noticed any unusual or unexpected change in engine noise.

A ticking sound is quite likely a leak, grab a piece of garden hose and use it as a stethoscope near all the gaskets/joints while the truck is running ;)

Oh man, this is great. Never heard of this trick. Always used the old wooden stick or prybar to hear internal noises. I got some old heater hose laying around somewhere...

I’m gonna put money on the URD y pipe. It has 3 exhaust clamps. I hate this trucks y pipe design. Stock or not.

Also, the problem with that is there is no ticking sound when idling or parked. Has to be under load for it to do it. Ugh!

I'm no expert here but I don't believe Yahoo email accounts are up to the standards you need to run a business.

It may only be making Pfft noises until you get it under load ;)
