I went with the dry filter. Butt Dyno says better throttle response and the sound is great in my opinion. Ignore the scoffers.

Save your money on the CAI. The truck comes from the factory with one. All I did is add the TRD intake flow accelerator and an aftermarket dry filter along with a throttle body spacer. All I gained was a little noise, a little more low end, and better throttle response. Nothing to write home about. But if that’s what you want to do then do it because it’s your truck man.

Sorry OP. That how some of these yahoos are.
You asked for opinions on a specific product, not how everyone “feels” about CAI.
    You got all that nonsense.
    It’s like manual transmissions.
You’re going to get a lot of guys who own them and love them.
And a lot of guys who don’t own them, probably couldn’t operate one, telling you how much they suck.
I would go with the TRD one. Don’t know anything about the one you mentioned. The TRD looks neat, adds some noise, and it’s an OEM product that will likely hold its value.

I had the TRD intake installed at the dealership @ 1000 miles. The benefit is that it became part of the overall truck warranty and shows up in its service history. Can’t say if it adds power for sure but I like the look and it helps my truck breathe a little better along with the TRD exhaust (didn’t make sense to me to only upgrade the intake if I intend to keep it forever).

If you want sound more than anything; skip the intake completely and do the exhaust.

More flow typically means less filtration with intakes. Get your noise from the exhaust. I had the Afe for 2 years and it didn’t filter half as well as stock.

    Lots, straight from the factory.
Better than saying the dirty “L” word (lease). You think this is a flame job? Wait until the trolls hear "lease". They come out if the woodwork tenfold and all are self proclaimed Dave Ramsey financial gurus.

I like my AIRAID, sounds awesome and @0uTkAsT hooked it up for cheap! I do feel some gains after 3k but maybe its just in my head, either way its awesome.

The post filter section of the Intake would have a light coat of dust on the walls

I suggest the first mod should be Nitro 5.29 gears. I wish I would have done it the day I bought my truck.

If you want noise then, then drill a hole in your exhaust and save a shitload of $$$$

Yup, just cut the muffler off. Make sure you cut at an angle so the exhaust points downward... several members have done this and are happy with it.
