Anyone had Bookers Country Ham? @bvbull200? Total Wine had a case sitting on the floor and were restocking. They had Kentucky Chew on the shelf. Two employees were talking and said "it's already on the shelf" and were going to put the case away. I let them know it wasn't the same. I got the feeling they weren't happy as there was no space for another version on the shelf...

Edit to add - I just realized it was silly to ask @bvbull200 if he's tried Country Ham. Is there a Bookers he hasn't tried?!

Had to work in Tucson for a week. Brought this back. Not bad. A good daily drinker imo.

Well the Slipknot whiskey was $45 for a 750ml.. the gimmick wasn't worth it to me. I'm also a huge Metallica fan, but I'll pass on that one too unless one falls in my lap. Cool story though.

Also, the Metallica one should have been more properly named Fade to Black

I thought it was supposedly named in honor of the Black album?

That's kind of messed up that they wouldn't let you get the new batch. Or did they let you get one?

And you know, I haven't come across that batch here, yet. Texas is kind of slow on the releases. I've heard that it is cut from the same cloth and builds on Shiny Barrel, which is a good sign. I love Shiny Barrel.

I'll get a hold of one soon, hopefully!

Well I suggested Fade to Black since that's usually what happens when I drink too much! Haha! But here's what that link says:
Blackened Whiskey is a collaboration between the rock band Metallica and master distiller Dave Pickerell. It is a blend of straight whiskeys sourced from undisclosed North American distilleries. The whiskey is finished in "black brandy barrels" for a few weeks. Additionally, the barrels are sonically enhanced in a process called "Black Noise". Low hertz sound waves--playing Metallica's music of course--causes the whiskey to further interact with the wood. The inaugural batch is labeled 081, to signify the year the band formed. Each batch of 5000 bottles will come with an accompanying playlist on Spotify and Apple Music.

If I happen across one at retail... I may snag one. I mean... Metallica sound wave aged whiskey?

If it's early Metallica there could be some violent parties but if it is post ...and justice for all, it'll be pretty tame :D
