Hey folks - can anyone tell me if the little yellow ended wire is the preinstalled wiring for my fog lights on a 2011 V6 SR5 Base Tacoma?

I may be wrong, but aren't yellow connectors for airbags?

Those are the front impact sensors for your airbags.

The wiring should go directly to the lights trace them backwards to the wire loom shat should go to your engine fuse box.

My fog light wiring comes from up near the headlights, and then runs down to the fog area.

Okay. I thought they were not the right ones. Looking for the wires (prewired) that are apparently on the truck, can’t seem to locate them.

What makes you think you are wired?

Gotcha, I would look for the fog lights fuse first to see if it is wired. It is in the engine bay box

I was informed my 2011 V6 Tacoma SR5 had factory wiring for fog lights ...

If it is truly an SR5 it should have them installed. If you have the spot on your bumper for them and is just a covered plastic hole I dont believe they would be wired

I think you’re right. I checked the fuse box, no relay. Is there a thread on what is needed to connect the OEM switch, to the fog lamps? I purchased lamps and switch today. Looking for info on making them work.

I think the easiest way would be to remove the blank where the fog light switch goes and see if the plug is there.

The plug is definitely there. I plugged the OEM switch in, lights up with the parking light function.

Then the wire/plug for the lamps should be right behind the cutout in the front bumper. You may have to add a relay and possibly a fuse.

That was my impression also. I know I need a fuse and a relay, not a big deal. I guess I’ll keep searching to see if / where the wires are located.

Here is the wiring diagram for a 2012. Should give you an idea of wire color and shape of connector.

This is great. Thank you. Shape/colour of the plug seems pretty straight forward. Locating it however ... ha. Love a good treasure hunt
