Would you rather raise a doberman or a golden retriever and why

What does either of these dogs have to do with a 3rd Gen Tacoma? I think you need to have this thread moved to a more appropriate forum.

I've had multiple of both, and currently have a young Dobie and a young Golden. No wrong choice. Both loyal, smart and fun dogs. All of mine from both breeds have been absolutely fantastic with small children and have been awesome inside family dogs. Both fit inside a double cab Tacoma comfortably (for relevance).

Doberman is like Taco, Golden like Ridgeline. I'll go with Bitey McBiterson.

I would say Golden for the reason I have 2 big intimidating dogs. I have a 100+lbs rotty/lab and a 220+lbs English/bull mastiff. And even thou they are good with other dogs people instantly pick up there dogs, walk to the other side of the street, or just yell at me which does piss my dogs off lol! My next dogs will be Border Collies 100% which sucks because you can’t beat the love and loyalty of a guard breed. My 0.2 cents either will be an amazing dog if raised right. But the Doberman will always get a colder shoulder. Good luck!

One can never have too many light bars.
Both are good dogs but your homeowners insurance might drop you if you report a doberman as a pet. It sucks and I personally think its stupid but those are just facts. Parents had the same homeowners insurance for 20 years and had no claims and always paid on time. Adopted a pitbull who is the sweetest dog ever. Truthfully disclosed that to the insurance company when renewing and bam dropped no questions asked.

I’ve had many dogs of different breeds but this guy is the coolest. We grabbed 3 males out of the litter. My son and daughter each have one of his brothers.

I've got a border collie/ rotty mix (she's a rescue) and she is the sweetest, most loyal dog I have ever had.. But she is super protective of my family.. If she doesn;t know/ trust you, she won't like you getting close to my 2 year old son. She won't bite, but she will let you know she doesn't like you.. Her name is Lola.. She's not a showgirl - my son in the background. Mowing the lawn with his bubble lawn mower lol

What a beautiful girl she is! Lots of respect for rescuing! That is my plan for next time! Truly appreciate it! Yea both those breeds are loyal and amazing dogs! And mixes always seem to grab best of both!

    Interesting topic lol

But Goldens. Love Dobie's though, but they sometimes end up in the wrong hands and can end up aggressive. I work in a vet clinic, and though we don't get a ton of Dobie's in,the ones that do come in are 50/50...either super nice or very aggressive..no grey areas. Both are great dogs, just depends on their breeding and their owners. I currently own a Pit/Beagle mix, best dog ever. Dobie's,like Pit's,get a bad rap lol

She came from Mississippi and was in a kill shelter.. Our good friends' parents foster dogs through a program in Rhode Island and we met her at a cookout that my friends hosted.. We were looking for a dog to rescue, and this sweet girl was there. Little social butterfly, getting pets from everyone, and not phased by the long plane ride form the day before.. We went online and donated/ requested to adopt her right then and there. The next day we took her home. She has been a blessing for sure.. Adopt adopt adopt. They know when you adopt them... You can see how greatful they are when you look in their eyes.. Edit: You can see there is a burn mark on her left rear leg.. That bare fur spot is a burn.. She apparently was tied to a tree and she chewed through the rope.. Then was picked up and put in a kill shelter..

Sweetest dog you'll ever own. If you go Golden Retriever, invest in a really nice vacuum.
