I have an agreement with a co-worker. If one of us wins the lottery then he gives the other one 1 million dollars. It is a good deal for me as I do not play all that often!

Yeah that is a good deal!! I play a dollar in each drawing. Illinois has 3 drawing a week for the Lotto and then I play a dollar a day in the IL. Lucky Day Lotto. $200 is the most I have won but I have given that back 10 fold at least. LOL!

Seriously?!? I didn't know you could take long exposures...I'll have to try that! I was up in Acadia National Park a couple weeks ago for the Night Sky Festival.

Not sure what @the_dau used, but based on the post I did some research just now. You can use iPhone's LivePhoto feature to create a "short" long exposure, or get a long exposure app. I just bought "Slow Shutter Cam" ($1.99), gonna play with it soon hopefully.

that’s kinda what I’m wondering. There seems to be a bunch of apps for it, I’m just trying to figure out which ones actually work. Lol

I guess what I am looking for is an easy (lazy) way of connecting the tarp to my roof rack, I saw an awning/tarp similar to the Smittybilt that had built in snaps that wrapped around a roof rack and snapped together and am looking for something like that.

I saw one from the UK a while back that had a built in snap system that looked great except I would have to order it from the UK and that was pretty expensive. I should have saved the link.

I may end up doing what you suggest and just getting a tarp and creating my own snap system

Very similar, not quite as long and didn't connect to the wheels. I will have to search through Google images again and will post if I can find it.

A scouting trip for mule deer outside Granby, CO. It was in the 20's in the morning, but the little wood stove in my tent meant I was almost too hot when I got out of my quilt. No deer spotted, but enough sign that I think I'll risk returning here for season. I did have a rather tense encounter with a young bull moose (no photos as I was point my rifle at him while backing down the trail) and managed to bag a grouse on the way out.

    Truck from where I slept:

    Tent from the outside:

Tons of room inside with the wood stove:

The views across most of CO aren't all that bad right now:

Yes, we are out in the mountains most weekends this time of the year. There are great places to camp and lots of forest service roads to explore now that the weather has cooled off.
