I'm going to give you a tiny piece of advice that you can further research yourself. Rubberized undercoat (the heavy sticky bullshit in a can) can accelerate rust issues in areas where roads are brined or salted. You're better off with paint on the exterior of the frame, and you're better off not overthinking it. Fluid film the interior and call it a day, or maybe a year.

my tacoma is sitting out naked to the rain, was not able to apply the afterblast zinc coating last evening to prevent flash rust on the small parts i cleaned up on under passenger side with aluminum oxide blast media that worked much better than the soda media, but dammit that stuff is messy

i can take a pic once it stops raining to evaluate the amount of flash rust that occurred

Flash rust... Actual surface level flash rust, wipes off almost entirely with auto trans fluid.

did they know ANYTHING about this in 1997?
    i mean fck AN A
the last local dealer service department I asked earlier this year about what to do regarding preventative maintence fcking told me they could rubber undercoat it again
that is how absolutely clueless the trained 'experts' are!!!!

Yes of course they did, but their whole point was to sell you something for peace of mind, and maybe sell you a new truck in 5-8 years.

Ziebart is all but gone because people finally figured out their coating was a scam. Its up to the consumer to do the research really, a salesman is only going to sell you what he has to sell.

That should definitely be fun, 300hp rear wheel should be doable, I’m probably at 275hp, haven’t done a current test after boring the supercharger, boring the throttle body and 175 Degrees thermostat and with our trucks at 3300 pounds they definitely clip along and my truck will out run a WRX easily. The power to weight ratio is sweet.
It will be challenging trying to fit an inner cooler in the front grill area tho because the 95-97 have
a smaller front grill area, 1998 forwards the grills were at least a few inches or so deeper

no wonder my truck is slow. Auto, v6, 4600 lbs “empty”...

time for a front end swap to a 2001-2004 to make room for the inter cooler?

it was part of the weather package where they also chip guarded the rockers and bottom of the doors and under the bed, that saved me a world of grief not having to worry about every little gravel chip down there! but i do have a few chips behind the rear mudflaps i have to get taken care of :( soon
I did get a Toyota touchup paint stick that has a small sander on it that should do well or maybe not

Yeah I don't have ac. So that helps. But might put it down lower in the bumper area. Should work fine for what I want.

Hell no. The 95-97 is the best front end.

Think I've been watching him for almost 6 years now. His videos are pretty solid, half the stuff he does I dont really need to watch anymore because it's crap I already do but his banter is still fun.
