Going cat is a bitch. Running a Severe deficit and too much cardio will get you there quickly. Most people aren’t going to get lean enough to have to worry about it. Lots of people have no clue about actual body fat percentages. I have people all the time say man I’m around 8%. I’m like lol maybe 13% and you don’t have to worry about going catabolic anywhere near that fat percentage. I’m maybe 5 right now or high 4 and I can do it easily with another 45 min of stair master. Right now I’m doing 1 35 min session post workout. Got to learn your body because we are all different and what dials me in May completely screw you up.

Wouldn't cutting sodium leave you flat? Interested to know what your sodium/potassium ratio is at during peak weak. I've read some competitors keep their sodium high because of the whole "your body is smarter than you" and retaining water is a good thing as long as you hold it in your intracellular cells.

Agree, when I manipulated my fiance's sodium and water - she looked flat. When we kept her full of sodium and water as we did for months she was much fuller and harder for her comp.

I also experimented on myself and felt like dog shit. I can tell on the day if I don't get my water in... even in fat mode.

I add it back in 2 days out with portions of bacon. All I want is enough to balance electrolytes. The diuretic will handle water and the sodium and carbs at the right time will fill the muscle belly’s. I like to toss in some Anadrol about 15 hours out also. Sodium, Abomb, bacon fat, rice and potatoes and a pint of soft serve ice cream. Talk about a pump and veins for days.

Yes flat yes feel like hell. But that’s prep.

I tried to order some anadrol on Amazon prime but couldn't find any. (jk) Do you keep water intake the same throughout peak week?

If I was just lifestyling then I wouldn’t mind my sodium intake as much. I would eat more cheese and drink whole milk like a bandit too. I’m soo hungry. Come on October 19th!!!

Personally I think losing LBM is overplayed because people don't realize how fat they are. Start stripping the fat off and ya, you're gonna look smaller. I don't lose much if any LBM (no way to verify really) until I start getting pretty lean. Then my lifts start to decline which over an extended period of time likely results in some loss of LBM. I try to train the same in a deficit as a surplus, but it usually results into trying to hold onto numbers (weight, reps, sets) rather than see improvements. Set a reasonable deficit of no more than 1% BW loss per week, train like a fuking savage, and get enough protein in and you will not lose much if any LBM. Now getting down to stage ready conditioning that's a whole nother ballgame, your body does not want to be there, so the potential for some catabolism is increased because your body will protect vital organs before your biceps.
