Finally, someone who might be younger than me!
I’d be into that if I could ever make it work with my schedule. This year was the first season I didn’t use my kayak all summer.

Just paid my taxes online tonight. I also got a letter saying they've revalued everything and everything went up. My 2012 Tacoma, which is a base model 4cyl MT access cab is now valued higher than my 2016 convertible Camaro and 2017 loaded CRV.

Just for knowledge, there is a cutoff date of when your property actually goes on the year's taxes. It's around May, but I can't remember if it's the first or last of May. For example, if you bought a car on April 31st of this year, you would owe property taxes on it for the year 2019, which you pay in 2020. If you bought it on May 1st, it would not go on this years taxes at all. But again, that dater may be end of May instead of beginning of May. Something to check out though if you're thinking of buying a car in the April, May time frame.

    Yeah.
My guess is we got about 8 to 10 inches at our house. We're on a ridge, so everything is fine here, but they kept extending the flash flood warning all day yesterday.

The storm overnight on Friday was an incredible show.

We couldn't expect anything less than dramatic after record setting heat for most of Sept and first of October. I just hope we don't skip right into early winter after looking at the forecast later this week and into next weekend. If forecast holds, I'm going out next weekend. I'll likely take Fri afternoon off and head up. Right now I'm thinking close to East Fork Wilderness and somewhere just North East of there to run some trails Saturday. There's an awesome hard to get to campsite on a spur off Lindsay Rd that I want to go back to, but access will depend on what rain does late in the week.

Need suggestions. I have an old truck door and truck bumper that I'm trying to hang on my wall. I think I'm going to try and find some heavy duty hooks to hang them on. The door is 50 pounds and bumper is 30. I've found several styles that will fit the bumper, but I'm having trouble finding anything strong enough for the door. I also need the hooks to come out enough to hook underneath the top of the inside of the window enough where the bottom of the door can rest against the wall. Any other ideas or products I could use for this?

A heavy duty molly bolt receiver with right size bolt might work. The right one will support 100lbs, but not sure drywall would hold it. You'd have to get creative and use the right combination. A T nut with the right size bolts and right amount of spacing would work in wood - you'd have options as to what to screw in there that would work with your application. I'm sure google has better ideas than I do.

This or some other lumber bracket should work... https://www.rockler.com/heavy-duty-steel-shelf-brackets-black-finish
Of course you want to mount into the wall studs....

Perfect. I guess I could just put a bolt with a spacer on it in one of those holes towards the end to keep it from sliding off. Unless you know of a version with a lip on the end.

Or Cut, heat and bend to desired shape. Use shrink wrap or tape to protect the contact points...
https://www.rockler.com/heavy-duty-steel-bracket-black lots of options if you keep scrolling...

Either way you do it, your going to need to mount to the wall studs. Use a wall switch or receptacle close to the area to help locate the stud. take the cover off of the device and determine which side the stud is on. You can reference other studs from that on ( 16" center to center). After locating the studs, use lag bolts and hooks to mount the stuff. You could install hooks on a piece of 2-by. Then, screw the 2-by to the wall (in the studs) with long sheetrock screws.

Work has me in Arizona. If you're ever in the area and have the opportunity to drive Ajo Mountain Drive I recommend it.

Work involves some cactus relocation. I told them I don't want to be anywhere near that particular cactus.

We are planning to leave around 1 PM this Friday from Little Rock for a two-nighter this weekend. @TenBeers is joining Sat morning. Chime in if interested. Weather looks iffy for Friday day but when front clears will be great weekend. @Dave_M wants to test his winch on Illinois Bayou Road

    Yeah.
I'm not in for winch testing, but what is the plan?

Since that appears to be on the southeast end of the forest, I may plan a mello route down through the forest and meet you guys somewhere.
