Who cares about the turbos. Theres only 6 cylinders? What an outrage. There's no replacement for displacement, amirite?

That isn't an official photo. It was done by someone with absolutely no link to Tesla. It instead became click bait news.

they will never put a v8 in a Tacoma its not needed and they are going out of style (v8s as a whole). Tacomas are meant to go somewhere and get out thats all folks. Im interested in a hybrid system or just a TTv6.

That really depends on how much thinner and how much the other stuff weighs. Does anyone know that info off hand?

I have ridden in a Tesla, that fucker plants you to the back of the seat. The battery life drops quick, but man instant torque.

I will say that I scoffed when my dad told me he bought an ecoboost F-150 for boat pulling duty. That was until I rode in it the first time pulling their fat moose of a ski boat. Thing gets almost the mileage my moderately built tacoma gets but pulling a trailer. As a DD he beats me by a good margin.

So when the last gen 5.0 mustang came out, the focus groups said they loved the power, but they didn't like how quiet it was. They wanted a snarling v8 under the hood. So they added a little plastic tube under the dash that somehow channeled some extra acoustic noise into the cab and the test groups were much happier. :der:

There was a great line in Motortrend a few years ago when Mercedes came out with an all electric AMG supercar. The reviewer/driver put the throttle down on the start and did a 4 wheel burnout as the electric motors torqued the tires to death.
