Then that makes sense. I would only buy eotech or Aimpoint if my life was on the line..... its not so i usually go for vortex or lesser brands.

There are plenty of light free float hand guards out there.

I've got a couple more ar pistols to finish as well. Big fan of free float hand guards and 80% lowers

For the price really difficult to beat. Only thing I'd look at other than vortex for a nice piece of glass is Night Force, Schmidt and Bender, or Leopold

I have a dozen 1911's. My earliest is a 1918 black army, WW2 1943 Remington Rand, and a bunch of others. But now, my EDC'S are glock 20 and 29, both 10mm. Wilson makes a 1911 in 10mm, but I can get 10 glocks for one Wilson

And now for something completely different. Range day at home. Ukrainian. CZ barrel. .22 $3.5 cents a round. Convenient, shoot at home. Sub-MOA at 100 yards. With a pellet gun. WHAT? A pellet gun? Ask yourself, what do ex-soviet, out of work military industrial complex engineers and aerospace scientists do when their industries collapse and no longer need their expertise? They use that expertise to build the world's finest airguns, that's what. Way fun. At home. There is mid-week fun to be had, between trips to the range. Great basic skills training, right at home. Not to mention it's fun as crap shooting sub MOA at 100...with a pellet gun! Airguns are not your Dad's Daisy Red Rider anymore.

I was never a fan of eotech. Also you can add Trijicon to that list. All great optics for sure, but it’s very different when someone else is spending 1k on optics for you. I think my M4 had something like 3-4K invested into it by Uncle Sam.
