Swapping a 2.7L to either a V6 or V8

Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
    Than the 4.0? I would have thought there was a marginal difference in reliability at best between the two... Seen several 1gr with well over 250k miles on the clock still going strong; they are both Toyotas after all

    No question both are very reliable. However, the 2.7 has a better rep for overall reliability and high mileage - some have clocked over 600k with very very minimal love other than regular maintenance repairs.

    Dont quote me but i believe as long as its a drivetrain thats newer and OBD2/Carb approved you are good.
