I hit the mailbox when my wife asked me to move the Taco so she can get out in the morning. $850 later (paint job and rear tail light) it looks good again pictures are from the damage and the repair. I just gave the shop a striped down tailgate and the bumper insert to paint. I purchased my own tail light.

Sorry to hear your truck got damaged but it sounds like the wife is ok, which is whats most important. That doesn't look that extensive and is not in a very prominent part of the truck (clear view) so maybe you can take a shot at yourself.

Mine has a camera AND sensors, yet my "wife" still managed to hit the plow, plow truck and just recently "she" literally knocked down a tree and ran over three more saplings while in the process. Turns out, the sensors don't work if you drive in dirt cause it clogs them. So much for the "off-road" designation.....

Hit reverse, and gun it! :fingerscrossed:

Anyways, point of the story is, you can't fix stupid.

Oh, and it wasn't my wife, it was me who hit all those things, all on seperate occasions, and I think OP was the actually driver too :boink:

    Damn that sucks.
You know when you get a new vehicle and you have to baby the hell out of it until someone bumps their shopping cart into it?
After the first "damage" you kinda slowly let go of that feeling and then another scratch comes, then another, etc. I like to think that this is it's first little damage and you should leave it, or use a paint pen.
Like a pair of brand new shoes... hella careful with em until someone steps on em. Then you go FUCK and just wear em more enjoyingly lol.

    Good luck.
PS: I backed into a tree one night camping, quarter panel been rusting there. Gotta go buy paint pen. Good reminder.
Just called my local dealer, 19 and some pennies for the pen. Not sure if its reusable but gonna swoop one. Luckily my truck silver, not as bad as black.

It was pushed in further so I punched it back out but you see the crease on the first pic. The Taco was 6 weeks old to me without a scratch on it when I got it.

Dont sweat it. I used to have a dodge ram 3/4 ton and my wife managed to back into our HOUSE. Luckily it was the side with the foundation exposed. :burnrubber::facepalm:

    Foundation: Not even a scratch
Truck bumper: Done pushed in real good.

Just tell your wife it's OK and you forgiver her. Get it fixed if it bothers you. It's just a matter of time before you break something of hers, want some new toy, or forget her birthday. Marriage is about living, succeeding and screwing up together.
