What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Which console safe are you going with?

 

Rotated the tires today. Took the drums off for the first time 83K. Bought the truck at 30K. Inspected the shoes and cleaned out the drum assembly.

 

Did much the same on mine . I get as much satisfaction form the "thud" the doors make when closing as I do from the improved sound system.

 

I think it's a lockr down. Found one for 99 bucks on ebay

 

Added puddle lights.

Put some new tail lights on since I busted one last time I went wheeling



I like the way the new ones look, I put extra silicone around them so hopefully they will hold up in wet weather as well

 

As promised, better pics of the finished work. Crash bar painted w/POR 15, everything else in Rust-oleum.

 

Swapped out the stock back up light bulbs with Osram LED. quite the difference

 

Also bought spidertrax spacers last week for 40 bucks. They were just a little dirty lol

 

Added a VLED license plate light. Connected it to my rock lights so I can turn it on anytime. It can splice into your reverse lights but I don't need a light this bright turning on every time I put it in reverse.

 

Very nice. How’d you chrome delete the handles?

 

Just 30k more until it’s broken in.

 

Handles were already black to begin with but faded so I went over them since I had extra plastidip. Just did it as I would anything else, taped off a section and peeled off the excess.

 

Picked up a set of oem LCAs($20) and whiteline bushings($140) for a suspension refresh. Still researching for a good LBJ.

sounds like needle bearing. do a search on here for needle bearing and ecgs bushing. lots of info to read about.

 

For sure, it's a nice solid sound now.
