    Does anybody have any of these vinyl pieces laying around that they don't need? I'm short 2 pieces in matte black. Unfortunately I only have a roll of semi-gloss but that wouldn't work...

    Thought I'd ask before I try to order some more.

    Probably not going to sell them anyway, I’m going to be doing some stuff to the Jeep. Metalcloak fenders will fit 35’s with no lift, which is on purpose. After educating myself pretty heavily on linked suspension, and realizing its wayyyy more complicated than leaf springs, I stumbled upon “instant center” and “anti squat”. After realizing that Jeep got it pretty good and that I’m not too into snapping axle shafts, I began looking into fitting 35’s with no lift. Found a solution so I’m gonna swap my 35’s over and wheel it a few times to see if I want to build it more.

    Longevity may be a concern lol, the 4.0’s a good motor and I could get a new one for pennies but the nsg370 (Mercedes 6 speed) is what has me crossing fingers mostly lol

    There’s not many cases of actual failure but they’re finicky. Mostly depends on how the PO treated it. Reverse shift fork is easily bent (kicks out of R) and 1 likes to kick out of gear as well. I don’t have either symptoms and it drives as smoother than I’d hoped but that’s my first suspicion of a failure or issue. I tried looking for a 5vz swap in a tj and it’s so fucking comical how against Toyota Jeep bro’s are.. guess they need some reminding that their most coveted transmission (ax15) is the same as an r150 from a first gen Tacoma (aisin seiki). I love the vehicle but I really hate that community, online at least.

    lol I’ll smack a “my other ones a Toyota” sticker right on mine. One makes an awesome drivetrain, the other makes a pretty good platform. We’ll see how it goes, but this looks enticing.
