Rides awesome! Perfect stiffness/softness. May have to add a leaf if I get a plate rear bumper

I have 886's with no weight up front. Got 3 inches of lift but honestly it's barely any stiffer than stock. I bet ride quality is the same as 887. IMO 886 is the way to go. Especially with weight up front.

I strongly considered getting 886s but didn't want to stiff a ride, may get them down the road if these sag out

Im running the exact same setup as you and am currently on 887's and am debating on doing top plate spacers to regain some lift or to go to 886's. My setup is too soft as well and bottoms out frequently. Whats your general consensus of the switch from 887 to 886 since youve done the swap?

Im in the same boat and considering the same thing. Currently with ARB, winch, full aluminum skids and 887 springs the CV angles are perfect. I would think going 886 would be better than the spacer option from a performance stand point

I'm running OME 887s with Bilstein adjustable 5100s on the zero setting. I was right at about 2.75-3" of lift up front even with full skids (steel), sliders, roof rack, bed rack etc ... but then dropped to about 2.5" with the addition of my front bumper and winch w/synthetic line. Still rides fine enough for me even though I do plan on upgrading the suspension anyway. Pics for reference.

I didn't run the 886 very long before changing to bp51. It was a lot better though, for me anyway. Wayyyyy less body roll (no sway bar). It just felt like how I thought it should be. I am used to full size work trucks though that are much stiffer than even the 886. If you're bottoming out a lot, 886 would probably be a good idea. That plus some superbumps and you will have an awesome ride

I have the EXACT same setup but I have 885s right now trying to go either 886s or 887s I'm in 2wd what do you mean being too soft on the 887s? Just trying to know what I'm buying before hand.
Hence I'm pretty new on going off road

I think you should go 886. Mine are 887 and I have less weight than you do and have significant body roll and bottom out often.

So with 886 I wont be dealing with body roll and still get my 2.5-3" of lift?

The 886 is a 660# spring. All of the others are 590# in various lengths. 888 is the longest 590#, 887 is next, then 885 (and so on.) 886 is the only one that is different in terms of stiffness.

So if you find the ride too soft, go to 886. If you like the ride but want more lift, go 887, or even 888.

If I could do it again from the beginning would've gone 886 IMO. Would've saved on labor down the road, plus the 886s will settle. 887s were perfect before they leveled out
