Hah! I got one more big mod planned, just have to wait a couple months for it to be built. But who knows, maybe there will be a prinsu rack with light bar, ditch lights, etc. etc. after that. We'll see!

And that's the last time we bring it up. Seriously though, it's actually an axe (just not a very big one). I'm heading on a trip home to redwood country, and there is some weather happening around there. The axe is in case any trees or big limbs fall on the road and I need to chop some up to get through. Axe and a shovel can get me through most things I'm likely to encounter. I was just getting ready to mount the axe on my molle panels when the mountain hatch got delivered.

 

Ummmm that might be a bit small for a redwood... this one time in CA, I drove my car through one. A tree, an actual tree... not even kidding.

 

Hah, I know, right? I know that tree! I've chopped down a few redwoods before, but they aren't what usually falls on the roads. Especially not the old growth redwoods. If something like that gets in my way, I'll be better off calling or waiting for someone with a chainsaw.

 

Or turn around and call it a week. I’d rather deal with a downed pine then redwood any day.

 

Let's see----REDWOODS? LIMBS? TREES/ACROSS THE ROAD? = AXE...= shovel? Not for me. Your'e a better man than me. This is what I carry into the trails and or roads with blow downs or dead falls.

Nope - think it was discontinued after 2017. Not sure if I'd buy it again if I could do over. I think white might actually look best in OR trim. The lady has a white car so that's why I didn't go that route.

 

I still have some vitality left, and an axe doesn't run out of fuel . Honestly though, I don't own a chainsaw at the moment, and I think an axe will suffice for anything I'm likely to encounter on this trip.
