Yakima makes a nice bed bar that locks.

    https://www.yakima.com/bedrock-hd

The actual crossbars are a separate purchase so the entire system isn’t cheap. However, the install is trivial. The mounts lock. And it is simple to remove and reinstall when needed. I had the original version but returned them because bars that low didn’t work well with my kayaks.

The install video made me cringe. The installer doesn’t understand how the OEM cleats rotate. Lol

Do the cbi bed bars lock? I stopped watching the video. Thanks.

Yeah, the video is pretty terrible...

There are no quick releases...everything bolts together and to the rails. Mine are a "permanent" install and I leave them on.

If you're hauling bikes and luggage, just get the Yakima or Thule bars. They're pretty solid with no wait time, they're lockable for security, and the accessories/mounts they have are generally better fit for their own bars.

Thanks for the reccomendations on the Thule and Yakima's. With them being lockable, that is just peace of mind.

As always, thanks for the help.

Mine's on a KB Voodoo Hi-rise mount w/cross bars that also work with the factory trifold cover.

I'm running KB Voodoo Hi-Rise bars as well. If you go with them, beware they might turn into rust buckets due to poor pc job from factory.
