    Thx!

Yep, it's their swinger dropout system. I dedicated this to SS only earlier this year, but before that, I'd swap between gears and SS and it honestly only takes 10 minutes to do. That's assuming you have the chain/derailleur ready to go and leave the cable routed through the frame while SS'ing it. I used to just tape the shifter cable to the rear chainstay when not in use.

I'd argue that going back to a trail for redemption is different than risking getting skewered by a poolstick again. But then again, maybe not, if you're not running a dropper. :D

In all seriousness, (almost) every fall I've had I went back for redemption. Mental recovery is just as important as physical, and having that in the back of your head makes that recovery take significantly longer. That jump that ejected me, had to go back and learn it. That berm that washed out, had to go back and rail it. Otherwise every jump and berm looks like it, and you go into them timid, which is an almost certain way to eat shit again.

Speaking of, I still need to go hit The Ribbon in GJ again. Last 2 times I have gone it was either raining on Ribbon day or I was with way better riders which is how I got in trouble on the first attempt.

I’ve been lusting over one of those since seeing one at Cohutta in 2015. People want a damn mint for them though... even used.

Well worth it...the bike is an absolute blast to ride. Although I am interested in riding that new Specialized Fuse with the adjustable dropouts. Geometry looks pretty good. Might build one w/ the old front suspension fork from this.

    lol, thanks

Thanks! Yep...lighter than my gravel bike and probably most people's road bikes  This is fully set up...pedals and all.

I live here, it's pretty awesome. Moved here from Atlanta 5 years ago, didn't know what to expect but my family loves it. I'm always down to show folks around the place, though I will be out of town the weekend of the 19-20th.

Last minute Whole Enchilada trip to Moab if anyone’s interested. Sunday 8:30 shuttle from Moab Cyclery. Weather looks perfect, trail is going to be epic.
30ish miles, 2700 up, 9200 down. Every ecosystem in the mountain west, from the tops of the forested LaSals through the canyon beauty of Moab, into town to finish it off with epic burgers and beer at Moab Brewery.

Not gonna lie. There were moments I felt that way on middle black.

In my defense, it had just rained pretty heavily so traction wasn’t exactly ideal.

Needed a way to haul the bikes and keep the bed for cargo while pulling our camper, picked up a used kbvoodoo bed rack. Works really well and no need for any special bike mounts.
