Decisions, decisions. Took this Billy pro set off my 17 Ac, Sr when trading in for my Trd OR dcsb. Debating on ditching these and trying the current Fox Pro set. For those who experienced both what do you recommend?

Update guys on my set up, I took mine off on Saturday and went back to stock, it was a little to firm for my liking specially since I stay on concrete 99% of the time. I hit a few dirt roads while I had them on nothing crazy and they where amazing, just not the best ride for a daily concrete guy in the city ! If you are looking for a firm ride that gets rid of most of the body rolls on turns and nose dive when braking this is the set for you!! If you love the floaty feel of the stock OR suspension this is not for you.

Well decided to try these out on my DCSB.
After 7k, they were ok/ firm on The 17 Sr 4cyl , but on this 6, after 10 miles I think these are it! Glad I gave them a chance vs going all out for some 8112 up front. So far these are a definite upgrade for the 680 I had got them for. After some miles we shall see what happens

how does it ride with the OL leaf left in? been in a rig with the progressive 3 leaf kit and it felt buttery smooth in the back, 5160s suspending it.

Finally got mine on, after being in on the original conicelli deal. Paired them with JBA UCAs, HS AAL, 1/4" front spacers, Wheeler's bumps, and extended braided brake lines. Also did the ECGS bushing. All of these parts have been sitting in my basement for like two years. Got SCS wheels mounted as well last week. Sitting GREAT right now.

The install was quite a bit more work than anticipated but went well for the most part.

I tried searching, but does anyone have any info on the actual lift or photos with the Toytec 1” coil spacer installed? Or would the HS 1/4” top plate spacer be a better option?

Trying to get a little more lift out of these front shocks [IMG]

I've been doing some research, and you could also get 650 or 700 # springs for a similar price (stock at 600#). These springs will give you the lift you desire with less preload. I've researched alot of 4runner guys doing this but not any taco's yet.

has anyone tried to put longer top plate studs on these front coilovers? Is complete disassembly of the coilover required? Or just compression of the spring?

I have mine on and they are great, but after settling I have a pretty intense rake. It looks good, but I'm seriously considering 1/2" spacers.

I put longer studs on my Baja kit so I could add a half inch spacer. I did it before I put the coilover together. I don't think you could just compress the spring and swap them out that might be a little dangerous because you have to press or bang the old ones out. I got about 2 1/4 inches up front with that half inch spacer and I love the ride.

Just add 1/2" spacer which will give you an inch... you will be fined... IMO it rides the same.

Thanks I probably will. Just a little gun shy on the longer studs that it requires. I didn't want to have to disassemble the upright to do it.

I added a 1/2 spacer driver and 3/8 passenger to account for sag and taco lean. I went to the hardware store and got some SST versions of these: Or you can buy them from wheelers. They are lower profile than the nuts that came with the kit, no need for longer studs.

To be clear, you were able to run a 1/2 inch spacer just by using these nuts? I have the spacers but I don't really feel like pressing in new studs.

same question. These nuts linked from wheelers are the lower profile ones that will save me from having to put in longer studs, is that true? He mentioned finding ones himself at a hardware store.

Because an SST nut actually looks more like this I believe:

Yes, these allow full thread contact with a 1/2” spacer with current studs. You can get SST (stainless steel) nylon lock nuts in the correct thread pitch at places that have the large nut and bolt selection like ACE Hardware.. The Wheeler nuts above are grade 8 and a little stronger than the SST ones. I have both, but I wanted to try the SST first to avoid rust issues long term. So far they are working just fine and haven’t budged, still at correct torque a year later.
