Cool thanks for the info, I wasn't to do this soon. Minus the taking apart of the lights since I've already done it, how difficult was the projector install?

Projector install was super easy. I didn't even get my dremel out of the drawer. If I had taken the plug off the high beam connector, I would have even used my drill. The most time consuming part was figuring out how I was going to mount the shroud to the projector. The Apollo shroud fits the mini d2s projector like a glove around the lens area, but around the body of the projector it is about 1/2" too big. I finally ended up gluing small sections of some wire that I had at the house to make a friction fit and then I JB welded everything in place. It's not going anywhere now. I should have taken picutes, but when you are in the middle of it with dirty hands, it's a lot of trouble.

i noticed that you said you drilled a hole for your high beam wires. i just fed my through the hole. the hole isn't completely round, so i was able to fit those tiny wires thru with no issue. might be a 1st/2nd gen difference

If I wasn't lazy I wouldn't have had to drill it. I could have taken the connector off the end of the wires and fed it through the existing hole. To get it to go through with the connector on it, I had to make the hole slightly bigger.

Your thread is one that caused me to pull the trigger on getting the Mini D2S. I wasn't prepared for all of the alignment issues with a real retrofit. I am pleased with my choice.

It's a mystery isn't it? Dang, I thought I was the only one running the Apollo shrouds.

Did you end up trimming the apollo shrouds at all? Or did they fit in the headlights with no fitment issues? Thanks...

With the Apollo shrouds....On the inside ring of the shroud next to the projector, I trimmed a little extra plastic where 2 halves were joined together so that it fit over the projector better (hard to explain, but it was kind of like flashing from the manufacturing process). Then on the outside ring on the back side (looking at the shroud from the front it would be considered the rear) I trimmed maybe 1mm off the very top and bottom to give me some clearance with the factory reflector. I did all the trimming with a razor knife.
