Can someone identify these rotors? They appear to be road rotors but I want to use them on an MTB. They look so good

Ah yeah I'm six bolt. I was more wondering if they could handle mountain bike heat (Assuming it's worse)

Dang dude glad you are on the mend! I had a bad wipeout this summer too, going wayyyy too fast on fun fast section of trail with nobody else around, braking too hard in some loose stuff and going otb into a pile of rocks and logs. Rattled me too, was a super close call... has made me chill out a little bit... for now anyway until my ribs stop hurting lol

Glad you guys are both okay.

Although I road bike, I had an accident with a car that took me out for over a month. I T-boned a dude that misjudged my speed. I was on a main road (no stop signs or stop lights) and he was at a stop sign to my right, waiting to cross my lane so he can go left and onto this main road.

My GPS said that I was going 22 MPH when we hit. Totaled the bike and did a number on his rear door and quarter panel (and even scratched up his trunk). Thankfully it was a small car, so only my lower body and hands suffered injuries. The rest of me rolled over the trunk and across the road...

About 2 months later, I am back on a new bike!

These appear to be Shimano XT RT-MT800 180mm rotors. They are centerlock but you can buy an adapter to run centerlock on 6 bolt. They are mtb rotors so should work with your application.

"I'll change the spring" I said. "It'll be easy!" I said. Many pieces of linkage later I was able to snake the spring out...

Went back together a little easier. Would like to find a red coil but they're out of stock everywhere I looked!

Love me those Commencals... But why didn't you just take off the front shock bolt?

So yeahhhh, that's the thing. I kinda made it hard on myself. Was gonna just take the shock off, but then thought it might be good work in reverse to clean/lube the pivot points on the yoke that connects the shock to the rear triangle since I'd never done it before. Saw how dirty things were so it just exploded from there and ended up doing pretty much the whole damn thing.

180lbs at 10mph is not enough force to move a tree if anyone was ever wondering. The tree wins.

I’m still learning what’s a upgrade to what and what’s a downgrade. It’s a $5 pedal or a completely new brake upgrade which I have no idea how much that would be

The low end shimano and Tektro brakes are just meh- about $59-$79 per end is the norm for great Shimano brakes like the M5000-M7000 series. Way better power with better feel
