I know Trey already mentioned it but U-bolts are torque-to-yield meaning they stretch the first time you torque them. I’m not saying I haven’t reused them before but new they are like $40 and cheap insurance. Losing a U bolt while wheeling can rip the whole axle out from under the truck.

Or you could do the Wheeler’s U bolt flip $78

I used bump stops from Autozone for a mid 2000s Silverado $50

I think you could probably get them at 4wp? You can put energy suspension bushings in them also

You can reuse the bolts just not the nuts I think.

Saw other post about reason for not using the bolts so will let someone else chime in. Does make some sense though.

Been following that thread for a while. Concept is cool. Just not sure the work involved is worth it. Maybe it is, idk. I want to see 35s installed and tested under real world circumstances before I buy in to it. It took Marlin Crawler a long time to develop their kit and make it handle correctly, so I’m a bit skeptical at this.

Yea, it’s a cool concept but I’m not sure it’s worth it for 35s. Rubbing the firewall and reinforcing the LCA mounts would be way easier and more than enough for what someone will put an IFS rig through.
