I'm getting 19.5 with front/rear bumpers, sliders, lift and 33's

 

I have a fucked up commute that's basically up hill both ways.

 

lol i hear you. My old commute was basically 1 long hill. I would average 15-16 when I was stock because I would fight traffic on the way back home going up hill. My new commute is longer, but I have a better average mpgs even with all the mods now.

Does the electric car charger have a timer? I know I would plug the thing in right when I get home so I don't forget. Basically have to make it a routine to plug in whenever you arrive home. Then my AC is kicking back on and I'm firing up appliances to cook dinner, laundry, etc. If the car charger had a start time, I could set it for overnight unless I have more stuff to do that evening.

I think it would come down to businesses using electricity during the day, but home use should have a large spike right after the workday ends. It also seems we don't have as much typical 9-5 as we used to. I'm not really sure where this all lines up and evens out.

My mom got a 2019 rav4 hybrid, its very impressive. It uses a NIMH and not lithium cells. After driving that im Pretty sure my sc tundra will be the last gas vehicle i ever own.
I wanted to own one sorta fast v8, it was second hand, and i hardly use it so thats how I justify owning a gas sucking monster of a truck. And no way was I paying more for a used tacoma than a tundra with a blower with the same milage. Sorry, but tacos are over rated.

I don't think anyone can argue that used tacos are overpriced as hell.

 

I don't know if I buy that, this is a huge country and things are not the same everywhere. Just last year here they dug up the poles and put new wires in finally upgrading from single phase to three phase to try to make the power more reliable. Still have frequent power outages and have a generator, as a matter of fact it was out for 10 hours the other night, find it hard to believe everyone around here could plug their vehicles in every day and night with no impact on the system.

 

3 phase has nothing to do with reliability.

Toyota isn't joking around with the EV and hybrids. There will be a hybrid trim for every model by 2025. They also just announced today that they were upping the warranty of the hybrid battery from an 8 year 100k to a 10 year 150k miles. Which is strong evidence that hybrids and plug-in EVs are here to stay. Gulf States Toyota also stated that they expect to increase hybrid vehicle sales by 30%+ by 2025. I personally don't have an issue with it if we see a boost in performance and efficiency.

 

Maybe they'll have an electric motor around the front drive shaft for manuals? Could have separate locking hubs and then push button electric assist....oh for fucks sake I'm dreaming
