How Much is an Original 1997 Spare Worth?

I pulled an original '97 Goodyear Wrangler RT/S spare from my truck. Still holding ait. Looks like it never touched the ground. It's all dry rotted, and I would never use it. Just wondering if its of any value to restorers or anyone else. Maybe there's thousands of them out there.

 

Its worth nothing.

 

You could probably reuse the wheel.

I needed a spare to match my third gen wheels and I found a kind member offering up his spare third gen rim. He wouldn’t take my money, they’re not worth much to begin with. Remember the wheels can still be had from Toyota for about $100-$150 per wheel.

 

are you talking the steel wheels or the alloys? or just the spare wheel?

It's worth about -$2, which is what it costs to dispose of it.

 

Both. They can range from $100 for a steel wheel, and $200-$250 for something like a TRD Pro wheel.

 

my alloys run nearly $400 a piece brand new from Camelback ... list is $555
can i find them for much less elsewhere? in spitting new condition!?

My mistake then. I knew the Steelies can be had cheap.

 

$250 would be a bit better and maybe closer to price of an aftermarket wheel?
