So I've had my 09 Doublecab TRD Sport for a few weeks now. Are there any TSB's that anyone is aware of that i should be looking for? I've seen that there are several of 05-08, but havent seen anything for 09. Do they all apply to 09's because there hasnt been much changed or did Toyota actually fix the problems for 09? thanks for the help!

everything should be fixed as far as the engine ticking, rough ride tsb, etc. the only one i dont know about is the weak tailgate. if ur tailgate creases in the center due to weight, then thats a tsb

Can I get a follow up on the tailgate TSB for the 09? Just curious if the problem was actually fixed...

I'm picking up my '09 TRD Sport Double Cab tomorrow actually - I noticed when inspecting it today that there were only three leaves on the rear leaf spring, so I assume that means the rear leaf spring TSB may still apply?

I asked a similar question in another thread and some folks seemed to think so.

Ok! so then i'm looking at T-SB-0305-08, which i believe is the most current, and it says the New Part number for the RH Leaf Spring and LH Leaf Spring should be 48210-04570 and 48220-04210, respectively. This number should match the part number on my 3 leaf springs, right!? Also, where do i pull my number from? is it etched into the springs themselves?

Stick on hood scoop from Autozone.
It should be painted on the top of the springs.

    Where in SD are you?

If the last letter is "G" you're good.

If the last letter is "F" call it in.

If you need help finding it or anything, just let me know. I'm in RB. I was actually in Mira Mesa today! :p

If you're really concerned, try giving Toyota of Escondido a call and just say that you have a harsh ride. I had "G" springs but thought I would try my luck and see if I could get them anyways. I didn't even have to bring it in or anything and they ordered the new parts while I was on the phone with them. Sweet stuff! :D

Grabbed a flashlight and checked anyways. RH side is 48210-04550 G, LH side is 48220-04190 G. I checked on the TSB# T-SB-0305-08 and under Previous Part Number (m alfunctioning parts) are the same leaves I have!!!WTH. This means I gotta get my suspension updated! You would think brand new truck w/ a know problem wouldan't be allowed to leave the delership w/o the update. Maybe a "rough ride" doesn't bother every1 or Toyo is trying to save some $$$ at the buyers expense. Sheesh

Ok. I didn't get technical with all those numbers. But yeah man. Contact your Toyota dealer (Carlsbad I think I saw in your pics), and if they are being pesky call Toyota of Escondido. They are all cool over there.

Cause the shocks are included in the TSB i checked those as well. My part number didn't match the old or the new on the 05-08 TSB which means they got those up to par in the 09 model.
