Best part of having a cap, I keep my rods on the roof in rod vaults and flies/tackle in the bed

I keep everything in the boat. Just hook to the truck and head to the lake.

This is the best use of this space I've seen!

I loved my Tacoma, but I missed the rod rack I had in my 4runner. It's actually a significant part of my reason for going back!:D

I just stick them in my passenger seat poking through the back seat but I drive alone 90% of the time :)

I was debating on a cap but don’t have anywhere to put it when I need to have the top open to load my tool box in when I move jobs etc

Do the rear seats of the access cab fold down and have the same storage compartments too?

Haha I was kinda having buyers remorse and felt like I should’ve went the 4runner route for overlanding purposes but then thought of the times ill need that truck bed when I don’t have a place to store a trailer

I miss the bed occasionally. They're both great vehicles. I loved my Tacoma while I had it. I just concluded that the wagon was more my style.

As far as overlanding, I'm pretty happy with my half-ass sleeping platform I made for the 4runner. Plenty of room underneath for the necessities, and very comfortable (for a short guy)

If I did another Tacoma, I'd have to go ACLB with a sleeper cap. That seems like a sweet set-up.
