Hey what's up guys i know that there are 1000+ post about Oil change, but i haven't found an answer to my issue, a couple of month after i bought my Tacoma i started to work from home, meaning that i barely put miles on my Truck, right know is sitting at 7120 and i bought the truck in March, shall i do the oil change even when it is recommended every 10k miles or 6 months, shall i wait for the 10k even when it could take me several months to reach thar milleage? I am putting maybe 400 miles a month? Maybe less than that..

    Same as everybody else...
Oil is cheaper than metal, me just being me I'd change it every 6 months. I buy my oil at ChinaMart, the oil and OEM filter run me about 30 bucks. It's pretty easy to do and is cheap insurance. I base this on no scientific evidence just my opinion and my truck is a 2nd gen so that may make a difference

Yeah my daughters car hardly moves now that she did not take it to college but I change at least once a year even though it only gets about a thousand miles. They say six months but I think my incredibly unscientific mind says that is too often. BTW my if the miles are up I change sooner. All our other vehicles I change every 5 k just for piece of mind. Not sure if it necessary but my older daughters car burned so much oil I quit putting fresh stuff in it and found an awesome way to recycle my waste oil. If you ever see that haze in Denver thank my recycling program. Actually did fix her car with new rings and never burned a drop after that

I change oil every 5000 miles or 12 months whichever comes first. My wife doesn't drive her truck very many miles so it usually works out to an oil change once a year.

IMO 10K or 1yr is too much between changes. 5000 miles which is about every 6 months. Never take it to Greasy Monkey or his sister Jiffy da Lube. Do it yourself. If you don't plan on keeping it once a year or every 10k is fine.

There have been several Blackstone results posted that show the oil change interval of 10k or 12 months is just fine.

I change mine every six months. I’m lucky if I hit close to 10k miles in a year
