    Thanks for your feedback, but I can't even afford to get a new truck. I'd rather be driving this over any other truck anyway.

    By chance did you snug down the valve cover nuts to hard??

    These Engines if the valve cover is to tight do sound just like that .

    Timing chain is more of a grinding noise as it rubs against the timing cover.

    If not for driving a 3.4 swapped 86 4x4 I would still be quite happy with the 22 series Engines .

    Last I checked w 10k down its $455 month plus another $100 for insurance and I'm 38.
    Timing chain guide broke.

    3" lift? A.R.E cap 285/70/17 moto metal 955 17x9

    This and if it is the chain will rub thru the back of the water pump filling the motor with antifreeze, if that happens it means a full rebuild cause the antifreeze will attack the main & connecting rod bearings.

    If the timing chain guides are bad, replace them with steel ones. They’re not hard to find.

    its ok. The most common shop for 22r stuff is LC engineering
