It could have been worse. Your truck moved pretty good with that hit. She got the worse part of it and hopefully learned a lesson. It makes it hard to hear your side when there is an ankle biter locking people into their positions with his name calling and general ignorance.

It did! It was hard to watch! So far I have not noticed anything else wrong. Doesn't pull or make any noises etc. I am VERY satisfied with the outcome of this mishap. I have seen worse posts on here from offloading mishaps. I guess they get beat up Off and On the road. LOL.

I can also choose not to. But thanks for clarifying my options for me... The OP get’s it, & like he’s stated a second ago, he doesn’t need your protection. Valiant effort on your part tho. You are persistent & i like it, but it won’t work out the way that you want it to this time. Sorry. <——— see what i did there? Clever, right?

Yep. Good thing your headlight made it through. Those plastic mounting tabs break pretty easy. If you have the headlight with LED DRL, it’s a little over 700.00 for OEM part.

$725.00 ea is what it cost when it was repaired the first time. I still have the repair sheet from the first wreck it was in last Summer. I honestly was amazed they didn't total it. Came in right around $17,500 worth of damage.

I found one more pic from today that shows it not fully finished popping out. That top part was the last part to pop out. This is from my office window where I watched it all day. Too funny!!!!

Just a thought, wouldn't it have been the temperature differences that helped the dent pop out?

Since people are saying it isn't possible because their truck sat in the heat and didn't have dents pop out. Or that a heat gun had to be used (which would be a temperature change for those who don't have the natural weather temp changes). But OP's truck didn't just sit in the heat, it sat in freezing snow temps and then in the warm sun.

OP, that is definitely a COOL story. Can’t believe it did that on its own.

A while ago, I stayed the night at a buddies house. While I was sleeping in the couch, friend’s wife decided to go get milk...

I see her come back in the house, grab some paper towels and go to garage again (she looked upset)...

I notice this and decided to follow her to the garage.

well, she never made it to the store. She had managed to back out of the garage into my Z06!

she was kneeling there crying, trying to scrub off the scratches with some paper towels.

I felt so bad for her, I couldn’t be mad.

got it fixed at a body shop later. Wished mine got fixed by the heat!

I think this is exactly why it happened. I’ve heard of people doing the opposite and pouring ice water on a hot dent and it popping out.

Totally. It’s probably better to just use one google, and mines pretty shot. My auto-fill is atrocious.
