Fed up with my Tacoma, as the title states, sounds final. Done. End of story...

Or if someone is just looking for attention because Toyota has injured them personally...start a thread.

 

Figured others might have solutions that didn't require spending big money to make up for Toyotas lack of concern to an obvious problem. Surprised at all the childlike feedback and insulting comments which are completely uncalled for, I didn't wage any personal attacks on anyone yet half the responders act like I shot their dog.

Glen unfortunately you will not get much in the way of help from this crowd. Many long time Tacoma guys could not get onboard with the 3rd gen so we didn’t purchase them. The truck does some things well but falls short in other areas. What is left is mostly fan boys of the 3rd gen that are unable to discuss it objectively. The Tacoma tows like shit, nothing you can do to change that. I suggest you move to something larger or invest in a dedicated tow rig.

 

If you read the thread, that advise has been given many time over.

But you just see what you want to see, and don't own a third gen but still report how it rows like shit- because of what you read on the internet- too funny.

The OP came here to see if anyone else was in the same boat. I get fed up with my wife from time to time but I tend to vent or talk to my friends before I blow my life up. This is a forum, anyone has a right to start whatever thread they want without being attacked because you do not agree with it. You clicked on the thread and decided to protect the 3rd gen like it is your baby.

Actually test drive it and hated it. Also had to go pick up a buddies trailer because his 3rd gen broke when towing at 10k feet. Also towed his trailer after he got the truck back to see how it felt and told him I would tow his 4K trailer with it.

 

My my. It sounds like someone is biased against 3rd Gens and loves that it has negatives

LOL. Jesus people, it is this simple. Just don’t be a dick! I tend to try not to type something I would not say to someone in person. I feel if we met half of you you would at least have a bit more tact. Try being a little more classy even when someone’s opinion varies from your own. I am glad you like your truck man. The 3rd gen is fine for some and I have nothing against it. It was not for me. And when is the last time you read the WSJ before purchasing a vehicle? LOL, you guys are lit!! LOL.....
