I guess that he told us. I’m starting to question my tranny now. Who was that mysterious man? He’s been labeled if he likes it or not. Lol

I guess diesels are pieces of shit, they have way more tuning options than we do.

If he’s going to tow and wants torque at 1500 rpms, a diesel will fit the bill.

It's a piece of shit though, there's tuning options for it.

Just wondering if this is the highway/towing manifestation of low transmission fluid?

Don't know, but back when I joined in Feb 16, TW was rife with members who didn't own or test drove one for 10 minutes talking about what a POS the third gen was.

I don't discount OP or anyone who has issues with their 3rd gen truck, but the piling on of jackanapes who don't own one is in a word "fascinating".

I am on my way out for some Saturday night extracurricular activities...lol

    Cheers.

But he did test drive one so that’s got to count for something. That and 50 cents...

So far just a bed mat and a lighter wallet
The entire premise for this thread seems too orchestrated. Op cannot be oblivious to the fact that major issues with his transmission cannot be fixed with that awesome chip or 5hp stickers. And conveniently JJ shows up to cry about group think on a Tacoma web site. All bullshit. Sounds to me like Op got a rare lemon. If I wanted a truck just to tow or have a better pay load I would have bought another 1/2 ton GM truck. As I do love the 5.3. I bought my Yota because I knew I could basically weld the hood shut, do truck shit, and knock the shit out of most trails.

Damn. That's seriously awesome towing MPG. My Tundra would probably not get much better than 15 without pulling anything. Maybe 11 pulling a load like you described. I'm getting 8.5 pulling this in the Ozarks. You should go back to the Ram.
