    Guys,

I had a little mishap on my way to go shooting. Something got wedged up under my truck and cut some wires for a connector. I’m out of state and leaving tomorrow..my question is...is it safe to drive with these errors?

Apologizes for cross posting this. Accidentally posted it in the wrong section..damn mobile.
Anyways still out shooting and hopefully somebody can chime in before I take off.

If you know where the wires are cut just go get some butt splice and crimper/strippers and put it back together.

You can certainly drive it home. Neither of those are going to cause further damage.

Purge solenoid wire cut too? Assuming everything under the hood is fine.

I’m not even sure where to look for that. But the only cut wires I could see were around where the object was wedged. Which is connecting to an O2 sensor I believe.

I’m really hoping that’s the only issue and I don’t have any trouble on my 6 hour drive home tomorrow.

I repaired that wire but it's still showing those errors..

Do you think the o2 sensor could be shorted or messed up? That harness in the picture plugs directly into the o2 sensor. Dealer wouldn't look at it because of all my wiring accessories so I've been trying to get this figured out myself.

Did you try disconnecting the battery after you repaired the wires?

Yeah I cleared with a reader & disconnected the battery. Comes back after driving a half mile or so. I’m not sure if there is a relay or fuse for the o2 sensors or thermostat circuit but maybe that got tripped? The object that cut my wires was metal.

I know this is a really late reply, but since both banks of the engine are being affected (ie you are showing codes for O2 sensors on both sides of the engine), I'd GUESS there is a fuse blown that feeds both.

Just a matter of...where is the fuse and whats it labeled. I looked at all the fuses but I didn't see any thing labeled o2. A bunch of "HTR" fuses though.

Owner's manual should have enough info to point you in the right direction...

You can rest easy tonight. If memory serves me correctly, it did end up being a fuse that was blown. Soldered the wire at home, but for some reason I checked all the fuses but still apparently missed it. I took it to the dealer for them to look over and they told me a fuse was blown. And yes I was embarrassed when they told me that’s all it was after I failed to find a blown one myself

My DIY solder job is still holding up.
