I’ll have to check it out. My kids are 10 and 12 now and getting really interested in MT biking.

That or do a dad getaway thing and roll up to Harpoon Brewery after the ride.

We have our last ever 11pm ending wedding tonight. We end them all at 10 now. While that might seem early to some, the wife and I have ZERO interest in running a bar, or night club. Haven't seen 1 wedding yet out of about 100 that people haven't started getting trashed around 9:30. Then glasses start breaking, pee stops getting in the toilets, random screaming and potential fights all come into play. Oh, and some of the neighbors don't love all that late night crap either...especially the ones with younger children.

My attitude is, if you are looking to black out and go crazy, do it somewhere else, cause it ain't happening here.

Our early end time has lost us a couple of weddings, and we used to charge extra, but we've found anytime we compromise or change our rules we regret it almost instantly. Sometimes money isn't worth the headache. We plan on being here 30+ years, and we want to develop a solid reputation in our neighborhood and town, as well as in the business community. Have a nightclub where the cops show up to complaints constantly isn't the way to do that.

Plus there is plenty of time to fill weekends a year and a half away with someone who wants to have a family oriented wedding, or add in an extra comedy night etc....

Picked up a Branick 7200 yesterday for dirt cheap. Should be a nice addition to the shop.

The town forest side is probably the best place there to take the kids. Either that or the trails around the condos. The ski hill side is a LOT of climbing.

    Happy belated @Pugga !

I bought yet another set of wheels. They're not as nice as I had hoped they'd be based on the photos I saw but for the price, they were serviceable. These were $100, and came with the ugly chrome covers and lug nuts. I had originally wanted them for the lug nuts which I'll need for the FJ steel wheels I'm going to run next winter since I want to stretch my winter tires through one more season. I figure the lug nuts would have cost me anywhere between $20-50 depending on where I sourced them and I've listed the chrome covers for $55 on CL because why not. I'll get these mounted up and be done with it. I figure another winter wheel change is fun, and I've yet to have the base steel wheels.

Yes, this is the 10th set of wheels I've had between the two trucks. Somehow I'm both really proud of this, and not proud of it at all either. The lug nuts will clean up quite nice.

What’s happens in one of these new auto stop cars if you are just in your car waiting and need to warm up. Does it run in park?

do you need to put it in neutral and rev the engine a bunch?

It’s dinner right now and I’m just sitting in the parking lot thinking up dumb stuff, but I was curious enough about this to see if any of you guys know.

I would think the vehicle would have to be in drive, with your foot on the brake, for it to stop running. But I have only driven one vehicle with start/stop tech so :notsure:.

So I'm beyond pissed right now with the Subaru dealer shop...because not only were my wife's lug nuts on her wheels at about 180ft/lb of torque when I was taking them off last week...18 inch breaker and I had to put my entire weight on it and push to loosen the lugs...
Well tonight I go to do her oil. It's the first time she's relented and OK'd me to touch her car :) So I have all the stuff..fumoto, filter, oil...Car is jacked up and carefully placed on jack stands...and because subaru has custom fitted lift points for there screw jack it's a pain in the ass to get the jack stand JUST right so you don't damage anything cosmetic...

So once it's up there I look at the oil pan bolt...14mm. I grab a box wrench and it's already a crappy looking head so I decide to go right to the 6 sided impact socket and the 18 inch breaker...I had my FOOT on the wrench and was pushing off the frame to try and budge this thing. I can leg press over 300 lbs so I can't imagine what the torque on this thing is. I fee it start to move so I slow up. And then of course I look at the nut (I marked it) and it hasn't moved. The corners are all rounding. I call it a night and tell my wife that this is bullshit and they shouldn't be putting it on so tight.
This is the picture I took of the bolt BEFORE I started...

This is so annoying because now my wife has the "well that's why I just go to the dealer"...Failing to realize it's the dealers lack of care for the torque on the bolt that has us in this situation...UGGGGGHHH!!!

That’s what I think, but part of me also thinks that if the car turns off when idle at a light... would it be allowed to idle at all?

attached is a live shot. Just had some rain through here

There's a bunch of criteria that has to be met for it to shut off. My wife's compass has it. If the engine isn't at a minimum temp it won't shut off, if the AC is on it won't shut off, if the car is on an x% incline it won't shut off, and so on
